We would like to thank the all of enthusiastic fans of the Etyek Cellar Festival who didn’t care of the tragic weather and came to Etyek to have a wine tasting.
On the weekend of the Cellar Festival a Hungarian meteorological record from 1906 was beaten. In Hungary there was never ever as much rainwater as this weekend. Even so mostly on Saturday about 5-8 000 visitor came to Etyek to the eighth Cellar Festival. The organizers did a very good job and guaranteed the safety of the visitors during the stormy weather. They opened the village for the traffic and a few cellars were open until the end of the festival. The soccer game between the Winemakers and Politicians were cancelled because of the bad state of the soccer field but the organizers promise that it will be recovered soon.
